Before Instagram...

I love Flickr. It has a special place in my heart. Flickr was what ignited my interest in photography. I started off with the website before iPhone was even born. You just dont let an old friend drift away, especially when theyve been so good to you and your growth. Xoxo

Very good

One of the best...

I had an account since 2006, it was the first of social medias in photo sharing that I signed up to. Love the experience...

Very cool

This app is great. It allows me to share my pics with no bs. The almost unlimited storage is also great. My only complaint would be that you can only add pictures to one group at a time. It gets a bit old if you want to add to multiple groups. I use the computer more for this reason.

Thanks, Yahoo!

Flickr has helped me tremendously in my growth as a photographer. Generous community, lots of cool and talented people and inspiring work. So grateful for this app!

Takes forever to load

So long that my phone goes to sleep

Best photo site ever

Ive used Flickr for a long time, so long Im not sure when I started (over 10 years ago?). Ive consistently had an awesome experience from the "old days" of desktop computers to the here and now with phones. I love to look back at my albums or just my photo stream. Its like all my happy memories in one place. My favorite newish feature is auto sync with my photos on my phone. Saves tons of time having to upload, just does it for me and keeps them private until Im ready to set them up otherwise. And this ensures my pics dont go by the wayside if my phone died (still kicking myself for pics I lost a few years ago when that happened...totally my fault). I also like the easy connection to Shutterfly if I want to print some (yes Im still old school and put together physical photo albums on occasion ?). One thing I wish Flickr offered is bulk download of pictures. Flickr is the main place, usually the only place I store photos and Ive been thinking I should have a backup strategy. But with thousands of photos now there it seems an insurmountable task. Maybe this is something Flickr could offer with a Pro account? But really I LOVE this app..and the website too although 99% of the time Im using the App. Flickr app brings me joy and makes it easy to to capture and keep my memories. This is the first lengthy review Ive written, and I promise its from a real person - nobodys paying me to be such a fan / salesperson for this app. I just sincerely love it that much.

Google Photos is better

Flickr is great because it gives you 1TB of space for free! Thats enough to put all your photos. Best of all is that it doesnt compress your pictures. Flickrs biggest problem for me is the UI and lack of updates. You dont know what was uploaded (auto upload aint for me), videos are limited to 3 min max (fair enough but they should warn you!)... Every now and then I check Flickr to see if the UI improved. Unfortunately Ill go back to Google Photos. 15GB aint nothing compared but its a very straight forward app.

Not reliable

I loved the idea of being able to access photos through this app since I need to download photos from Flickr for my business. However, it has not been reliable since about 4 months ago (late 2016). My phone and app are updated. And I am connected to Wi-Fi. But it looks like it just keeps buffering and no photos appear. I really hope the problem can be fixed! It doesnt work more than it does work. Such a disappointment.

One of the best

This is the best app Ive ever used for Posting pictures!

Flickr still rules

Easy to search and find what I want, good on privacy, more of a real photographers site than social network BS like Instagram. Great, easy, and clean without annoying ads. Love this app.

suggestions

app keeps getting better, nearly perfect now! a couple feature requests: can we get an option to show number of views on each photo in camera roll like we do on the web page. also, need a setting to limit cache size. my usage is showing that flickr takes up over 1GB of local storage...!

crapola

sorry, this app is at best useless. its also embarrassing for a company the size of yahoo to put out bad software. long live the small independent developers! rename this app to crapR

Evaluation, Assessment, Moments

I, Turbo Roscoe Mague, rate this App, ( 5 ) ... Thank you, one and all for sharing, Moments.

Amazing

Love flickr so much! Its so much better than Instagram, Snapchat and all these other limited and ridiculous fads... If youre a serious photographer, flicker is where you go.

Memory Usage!

Flickr uses increasing cached memory. I discovered that it was using 2.8 gigabytes (!!!!!!) of memory on my Ipad. This app needs a MASSIVE overhaul.

Some missing features for a 5 stars app

The app is very well designed: great experience and UI. But the following missing features could make it even greater: - discussion board within the app!!!! - a way to chat in-app with friends. Im part of a group which organizes monthly photowalks and for some reasons, sometimes some of us just cant make it (last minute family, work priorities...). It could be cool to just announce it through the app - Id like to be able to sort groups Im following by last recently add photos or by last added discussion just like the website

Doesnt work with iphone 6s

ios 9.3.1 and 9.3.2 neither. The app not even opens.

Really Nice and Useful

It works quite well, but it isnt fully featured.

Falta uma única coisa. One last thing

Muito bom. Falta o filtro para ver apenas as fotos públicas dentro dos álbuns. Nice app. Just missing the filter to see only public photos in albums.
